Stunt work will be recognized by the Academy Awards beginning with the 2028 Oscars

Eva Mendes is giving praise to both husband Ryan Gosling and his Fall Guy costar Emily Blunt as well as Hollywood's admirable stunt community.

On Friday, April, the 51-year-old actress took to Instagram to celebrate the success of The Fall Guy and her spouse campaigning to have stunt work recognized by the Academy Awards.

"Unfortunately, success is almost only measured by box office. So I’m extra proud of my man for turning his entire Fall Guy press tour into a campaign to get stunts recognized by the Oscars," Mendes wrote in her slideshow post that included Gosling, 44, and director David Leitch standing next to @dudewithsign creator Seth Phillip holding a sign that reads "Give stunts an Oscar."

Gosling recently collaborated with the popular Instagram account for a humorous Fall Guy promo last April.

"And now after Almost 100 years of stunt design not being acknowledged by the Academy, it’s officially a category!! This is a HUGE success! And an achievement that will last. Congratulations to the the incredible stunt community!!" Mendes added.
