Gal Gadot, the famed Israeli actress, has an impressive career in acting that spans several years. She’s most well-known for her role in the 2017 hit movie “Wonder Woman.” Prior to her acting career, Gadot won the Miss Israel pageant in 2004 and even competed in the Miss Universe contest that same year. Additionally, she spent two years serving in the Israel Defense Force as a combat trainer, which proved to be beneficial in landing some of her acting roles. In addition to her acting skills, Gadot is also a martial artist and model. Despite her fame, Gadot prefers to keep a low profile. However, there are interesting facts about her that people might not know, such as her start in modeling as an unwilling pageant contestant.

When Gal Gadot was just 18 years old, she was crowned Miss Israel in 2004. Despite her success, the decision to compete was not an easy one for the actress. In a 2017 interview with W magazine, she revealed that her mother had encouraged her to enter, as she had some time between finishing high school and joining the army. However, Gadot didn’t actually want to win, and was scared when she did. The responsibility of being Miss Israel was daunting, and she felt even more nervous when she ran for Miss Universe later that same year.

Gal Gadot, who represented Israel at the Miss Universe competition, revealed in an interview with Glamour that she didn’t want to win and even rebelled during the event. In her own words, “I showed up late. I came without gowns. They tell you to come to breakfast in a gown. I was like, ‘No way am I having breakfast in a gown!’ Who needs to wear an evening gown at 10:30 a.m.?'” Furthermore, before becoming an actress, Gadot was studying law.

According to a Glamour interview in March 2016, Gadot revealed that her original plan was to become a lawyer. Acting was never her dream career path. However, after auditioning for a part in “Quantum of Solace” and not getting it, she eventually landed a role in “The Fast and the Furious.”

Gal Gadot, known for her roles in multiple “The Fast and the Furious” movies, shared in a 2016 interview with Glamour that her audition for the role of Camille in “Quantum of Solace” kickstarted her interest in acting. While she didn’t get the part (Olga Kurylenko did), the director later gave her a breakthrough opportunity as Gisele Yashar. Prior to her acting career, Gadot served as a combat trainer in the Israel Defense Force for two years.

The famous actress had a unique experience serving in the Israeli army during the Israel-Hezbollah War. She worked as a combat trainer and even taught gymnastics and calisthenics to soldiers. This military background proved to be beneficial for her acting career as it helped her secure a role in “The Fast and the Furious.” In an interview with Maxim, Gadot shared her experience and how it influenced her life.

During an interview with Forward in 2011, the actress shared that her experience serving in the Israeli military proved advantageous when it came to snagging the role of Gisele. According to her, director Justin Lin was impressed by her background and wanted to incorporate her knowledge of weapons into the film. Prior to her breakthrough role, she had appeared on a little-known Israeli show named “Bubot.”

The show produced by Dar-Set Productions only ran for a year and was centered around the modeling industry, mixed with a twist of conspiracy and romance. Miriam “Merry” Elkayam was played by Gal Gadot, as per the details mentioned on IMDb. However, the show couldn’t make it past one season. Prior to her role as Diana Prince, Gadot made an appearance in a 2009 episode of “Entourage” where she played the character Lisa.

Her part in HBO was not significant. Additionally, she played the role of Mark Wahlberg’s girlfriend in “Date Night” in 2010 and acted alongside Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz in “Knight Day.” Prior to getting her role in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” she considered giving up acting.

The renowned actress, Gal Gadot, who portrayed Diana Price, famously known as Wonder Woman in Warner Bros., almost gave up her acting career and was considering going back to law school before she received the opportunity to audition for “Batman v. Superman.” In a 2017 interview with Today, as reported by People, Gadot revealed that she faced numerous rejections that made her question whether acting was the right path for her and consider returning to law school with her family. However, she found her breakthrough when she landed the role of Wonder Woman and gained approximately 17 pounds of muscle during her rigorous training for the part.

According to an interview with Glamour in 2016, the actress who played Wonder Woman in the movie gained around 17 pounds of muscle while training for her role. She expressed that the training made her feel stronger and improved her posture. During an appearance on “Live With Ryan and Kelly,” she mentioned that even her army training was not enough to prepare her for the intense workouts required for the movie. She trained for six months prior to shooting for six hours a day, which included two hours of gym work, two hours of fight choreography, and one and a half to two hours of horseback riding. Despite being a fan of motorcycles, she had to give them up upon becoming a mother.

In a 2015 interview with Elle, she revealed her love for performing her own stunts and being physically active. Her background in dancing provided her with great training, but her passion for motorcycles was also apparent. However, after becoming a mother to her two daughters, Maya and Alma, she decided to give up motorcycles for safety reasons.
